With two queen bedrooms, glowing fireplaces, velvet lounges and linen bedding, the space blends Jazz Age elegance with modern comfort. Wander through the orchard, soak in the outdoor bath under the stars, stroll into Candelo for coffee, or settle beside the fire and let time soften around you.

The essentials

  • Ellington Grove has two queen bedrooms, beautifully appointed with plush French linen and luxurious mattresses.

  • The cottage features a modern bathroom and a deep outdoor bath on the private verandah, perfect for soaking under the trees with a glass of wine or a good book. Towels, toiletries, and bath essentials are provided.

  • The fully equipped kitchen includes a stovetop, oven, dishwasher, fridge, coffee percolator/plunger, and basic cookware. Pantry essentials like oil, salt, pepper, coffee, and tea are stocked.

  • Two indoor fireplaces keep the cottage cosy on cooler evenings, plus an outdoor fire pit for starry nights. The lounge also has a split system heater and air-conditioner for comfort in any season. Firewood is provided.

    • Check-in: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

    • Check-out: 10:00 am

    • Self check-in with key safe

    We aim to make arrivals and departures smooth, with clear instructions sent ahead of time.

    • Maximum occupancy: 4 guests.

    • Adults only: Not suitable for young children or pets.

    • No parties or events, and no extra guests.

    • No commercial photography without prior approval.

    • No smoking inside the cottage.

    • Be mindful of neighbours: sound carries across the valley, so please keep noise considerate.

    • Fireplace etiquette: Please follow all safety instructions in the house manual when using indoor or outdoor fireplaces.

  • Bookings are confirmed once a deposit is received. Full payment details and options will be provided at the time of booking.

    • Full refund: Cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive 100% of what you paid.

    • Partial refund: Cancel at least 7 days before check-in and receive 50% of each night booked (service fee is non-refundable).

    • No refund: Cancel less than 7 days before check-in; this reservation is non-refundable.

    All times are based on the property’s local time. Refunds for scheduled payments depend on how much has been paid at the time of cancellation.

  • What an incredible old cottage. Beautifully decorated, the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever had in an airbnb and comfortable beds. We loved the peace and quiet this cottage gave us and had great cooking facilities for us to make a wonderful Christmas dinner. Delightful outdoor bath, plenty of outdoor space and games to be played inside. Can’t recommend enough!

Really appreciated all the lovely touches Karen has provided in the cottage - the linen, crockery, super comfy beds, fire places and fire pit. We would love to have stayed longer, a week was not enough!
